The Bible is a library built over a long period of time.  It is the product of an entire community of believers who span a great distance and timeframe.  In this manual we will address issues of canonicity and trustworthiness.  In order to do this, we need to address historical transmission through generations of editorial process and its textual corruption and recovery.  Its authority for the Christian Church, its mark of inerrancy, and its reception as a divinely inspired text has to be examined to fully understand why it holds such a place of high honor in a world of deep mistrust today.
